Daniel has considerable experience in wealth management and merchant banking, having advised some of Europe’s most prominent families and industrialists for over 20 years. Formerly Senior Banker at UBS Warburg in London and Paris concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, he was a member of the firm’s executive committee in France. He was also Chief Executive of a private equity fund backed by CVC Capital Partners.
Daniel is Chairman and Founder of the New City Initiative, a think tank comprised of leading independent UK investment management firms. He sits on several prominent investment committees and regularly contributes economic and financial articles and editorials to leading newspapers.
He holds a Harvard Business School MBA, an MA in Economics from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and an MSc in Finance from Universite Paris-Dauphine.
Co-Founder and Managing Partner
Julien has over 20 years’ experience in wealth management and corporate finance for substantial entrepreneurial families and their businesses. He is a former board member of Worms & Cie, the diversified family group, which in 1973 founded Permal, a pioneer fund of hedge funds. Prior to co-founding Stanhope Capital, he was a principal in Lehman Brothers’ Private Equity Group and Senior M&A Banker in the firm’s New York and London offices.
Julien received his MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, is an alumnus of Oxford University and holds a BA in History and Economics from Brown University.
Associate Partner
Léon has over 30 years’ experience in the specialty retail sector. He is a co-founder of Mitiska, a holding company listed in Brussels with stakes in several leading specialised retail companies such as Brantano, AS Adventure and Fun. In addition, he holds directorships in Fortis Private Equity and De Persgroep.
Previously, Léon worked as an investment banker at White, Weld & Co., New York and Crédit Suisse First Boston in London. Léon holds a degree in Commercial Engineering from the University of Leuven and a M.B.A. degree from the Wharton School of Commerce and finance of the University of Pennsylvania.
Director
David is a Partner and Director of Ivey Cox and has over 30 years’ experience within the Investment management services industry in both the UK and offshore markets. David is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (FSI) and also holds the IAC. Prior to joining Ivey Cox David was the Managing Director of Walbrook Investment Consultants Limited (WIC), with responsibility for the supervision of Trust & Company assets of $3bn and during this time he served as an independent member of the Kedge Capital Funds investment board.
Previously, David was Director of Investment Strategy at Deloitte Jersey, with responsibility for the selection and review of all external financial service providers, including third party investment managers. He relocated to Jersey in 1995 from the UK as Head of Investments at Coutts (Jersey) Limited and he began his investment career in 1979 as a portfolio manager with NatWest Investments in the UK.
Director
Jonathan is a joint founder of Ivey Cox and a Partner and Director of the company. Jonathan has worked in the investment industry since 1987 and has extensive experience in working with UK and international institutional and private clients. Jonathan holds the Investment Management Certificate and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investments by diploma (Chartered FCSI).
