Léon has over 30 years of experience in the specialty retail sector. He was a co-founder of Mitiska, formerly a listed holding company in Brussels with stakes in several retail companies such as Carpetland, Brantano, AS adventure and Fun.
In addition, he holds directorships in De Persgroep (B), Vente-Exclusive.com (B), Audley Capital (UK) and the Stanhope Capital Group.
Previously, Léon worked as an investment banker at White, Weld & Co., New York and Crédit Suisse First Boston in London.
Léon holds a degree in Commercial Engineering from the University of Leuven, Belgium and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School of Commerce and Finance of the University of Pennsylvania.

Daniel has considerable experience in wealth management and merchant banking, having advised some of Europe’s most prominent families and industrialists for over 20 years. Formerly Senior Banker at UBS Warburg in London and Paris concentrating on mergers and acquisitions, he was a member of the firm’s executive committee in France. He was also Chief Executive of a private equity fund backed by CVC Capital Partners.
Daniel is Chairman and Founder of the New City Initiative, a think tank comprised of leading independent UK investment management firms. He sits on several prominent investment committees and regularly contributes economic and financial articles and editorials to leading newspapers.
He holds a Harvard Business School MBA, an MA in Economics from Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris and an MSc in Finance from Universite Paris-Dauphine.
Partner, Chief Investment Officer
Jonathan is a Partner and the Chief Investment Officer of the Group. He is also a member of the Wealth Management Executive Committee.Jonathan has 25 years of experience in fund management, asset allocation and manager selection. Jonathan was formerly Chief Investment Officer of Newton Private Investment Management and a member of Newton’s Executive Management committee, overall investment committee and strategy group responsible for the $37 billion under management. Previously he held senior positions at Principal Investment Management and BZW Portfolio Management.
A Fellow of the Securities Institute, Jonathan received his MBA from Cranfield School of Management and holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and Politics. Jonathan is the author of ‘Start With The Map The Right Way Up’, an introduction to investment, and of numerous investment related articles.
Partner, Head of Portfolio Management
Ivo is a Partner and the Head of Portfolio Management. He is also a member of the Wealth Management Executive Committee.
Ivo has over 30 years of experience in fund management, asset allocation and manager selection. Formerly a Director of BZW Portfolio Management and SG Warburg, he has extensive experience in all areas of wealth management. In addition, he ran a hedge fund for a number of years, and was heavily involved in proprietary trading whilst at Warburgs. Ivo was also rated no. 1 in the annual Extel survey for his work in the Investment Trust sector.
Ivo graduated from Cambridge University in 1985 with an MA in law. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (“CISI”) and serves on the board of several private and public companies.
Partner, Head of Stanhope Capital Switzerland, Chief Operating Officer Stanhope Group
Nicole joined Stanhope Capital in 2008 after ten years in the Key Client division at Lombard Odier in Geneva. She was recruited to create Stanhope Capital Switzerland and build it into the Group’s second hub after London.
In 2011 she was promoted to the Partnership, becoming the first woman partner at Stanhope. A year later, Nicole became group Chief Operating Officer, responsible for approximately 30 employees working within the middle office, IT and administration departments.
In 2013, she joined the firm’s Executive Committee, a group comprised of 4 partners and chaired by the CEO, Daniel Pinto.
Nicole has a BA in Political Science from Université de Lausanne and an MBA from ESADE (Barcelona). She is involved in various university and community related activities such as the Swiss Association of MBAs. She is fluent in German, French, English, Italian and Spanish and is married with two children.
Founder and president of Lieber Strategies, James Lieber is a consultant based in Paris with more than 20 years of experience in the strategic management of complex international projects and situations for multi-national corporations, investment funds, organizations and high net-worth individuals in Europe and the United States.
Prior to founding Lieber Strategies, Mr. Lieber served from 1997 to 2004 as Director of Corporate Affairs at LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton S.A.
From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Lieber was a lawyer at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York and Paris.
From 2004 to 2014, he was a director of Cheyne Capital Holdings Limited and each of its hedge funds, with US$6 billion total under management.
Mr. Lieber holds a J.D. cum laude from Northwestern University School of Law, an M.P.P. from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. with honors from Wesleyan University.
He is an attorney admitted to practice in the State of New York and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. In addition to Stanhope, his directorships include LVMH Inc. and DFS Group Holdings, as well the French-American Foundation. He is also a member of Panthera’s Conservation Council and of the Advisory Board of the Harvard Club of France.
Managing Partner of Stehlin & Associés
Marc who is a member of the Paris Bar and New York Bar has been a corporate/M&A lawyer for over 35 years advising French and international corporations and private equity funds in connection with their acquisition in various sectors including the financial sector.
He founded Stehlin & Associés in 1989.
Previously, Marc worked with Surrey & Morse (since merged with Jones Day), Shearman & Sterling in New York and Klein & Associés in Paris.
He is a Vice President of Fondation Concorde, a think tank.
Marc graduated from Columbia Law School with an LLM degree and holds a “Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies” in European Law from the University of Paris.
In 2009, he was made “Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur”.
