Bernard has more than 20 years experience in financial markets, working for famous institutions such as Salomon Brothers-Citibank and Bear Sterns, where he ran multi-billion dollar derivatives portfolios (vanilla & exotics options) and developed proficiency in risk management and proprietary trading.
In 2000 he joined Société Générale Asset Management in Paris to help launch the hedge fund business unit of the bank. He received multiple awards (Euro hedge and HFR awards for best hedge fund for the years 2008 & 2009). In 2009 he co-founded Nexar Capital Group specialized in hedge funds (Fund of hedge funds, volatility hedge fund, hedge fund advisory…). The company was sold in 2012 to UBP, a Swiss based private bank. After more than 2 years working closely with the bank’s management, Mr. Kalfon left UBP to pursue personal and entrepreneurial projects.
Mr. Kalfon holds a postgraduate degree in Finance and Economics from La Sorbonne University in Paris and a Master’s Degree in Mathematics.
