Jamie Korner

Jamie has over 32 years of experience in investment management. He is a Partner and member of the charities team at Stanhope Capital.

Jamie was formerly Director of Charities at Newton, for which he worked from 1995 to 2011 and, with his team, built Newton into the foremost manager by value of charitable assets in the United Kingdom. At the same time he managed Newton’s Common Investment Fund, the Global Growth and Income Fund for Charities and was rated highly by Citywire for his management of Newton’s Equity and Bond Fund. Prior to joining Newton, Jamie worked for M & G (1989-1995) as a unit trust and institutional manager, having moved from Fielding Newson-Smith after its takeover by the National Westminster Bank. His original career, after a period in farming, began in 1978 at Inchcape, the overseas trading group, where he was responsible for carrying out the restructuring of the group companies in East Africa.

Jamie graduated from Cambridge University in 1977 with an MA in History. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Royal Geographical Society. He is also a non-executive director of Henderson Value Trust PLC and acts as trustee and advisor to a number of charities in the fields of art and education.
